Nearly 100 attendees joined us in Brussels on 18 September to discuss the important role of real estate investment in meeting the challenges of financing a sustainable future in Europe.

Ugo Bassi, DG FISMA, Financial Markets of the European Commission spoke to the crowd on the EU’s Action Plan on sustainable finance while Martin Spolc Unit Head responsible for sustainable finance, European Commission joined an expert panel. Both Ugo and Martin emphasised the importance of policy makers and the industry working together to meet the challenges of financing a sustainable Europe.

Results of the annual GRESB Real Estate Assessment, scoring and benchmarking the ESG performance of real estate portfolios and assets was presented and discussed by a panel of experts.
